Other pathologies

Many more pathologies may be treated with chiropractic. Check the (non extensive) list below of issues seen in a chiropractic practice. Most of the conditions listed hereby may be treated in collaboration with other specialists. Feel free to consult your chiropractor for more detailed information.

Sport Injuries
  • Tendinopathy (pain related to an injured tendon)

  • Ligament sprains 

  • Tennis Elbow (Lateral epicondylitis)

  • Golfer's Elbow (Medial epicondylitis)

Neuralgias​ and Radiculopathies (pain caused by a nerve or nerve root that’s irritated or damaged)
  • Cervicobrachial Neuralgia​ (pain around the lower cervical spine and the shoulder)

  • Occipital neuralgia (base of the skull and scalp)

  • Peripheral neuropathy, like :

         - Carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist area)

         - Ulnar nerve palsy (elbow area or Guyon tunnel near the wrist)

         - Peroneal nerve palsy (near the knee)

         - Morton’s syndrome (top of the foot) 

         - Pudendal neuralgia or "Alcock canal syndrome" (pelvic area)

  • TOS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome) : area between the cervical spine and the shoulder

  • Intercostal neuralgia (rib cage area)

Osteoarthritis 

Osteoarthritis limits the mobility of the joint, the surrounding tissues (ligaments, tendons, muscles) over-stressed in compensation, contract, intensifying the pain. Mobilization by a chiropractor of the affected joints can improve mobility and limit pain.

Vertigos

The most common type of vertigos is related to neck tension and pain. Your chiropractor will evaluate the type of your vertigo and either treat or direct you to an other specialist.
